How to be a Malignant Personality's Worst Nightmare with Yves Gore
Join us Sunday February 23rd @ 2pm PST / 5pm EST for How to be a Malignant Personality's Worst Nightmare with Yves Gore
Bring on some of your pesky difficult-people problems and transcend them in this dark, playful workshop with ritualistic performance artist, Yves Gore. Some of us are prone to attracting malignant personalities for several reasons, which includes being naturally empathetic and people-pleasing, a complex history with familiarity dysfunction and our individual attachment styles. This workshop focuses on developing fun toolkits to self-regulate and actively counter our relationships with malignant personalities, individuals who exhibit a combination of narcissistic, antisocial, and sometimes borderline traits, who inflict destructive or harmful behaviors toward others subconsciously or deliberately. Malignant personalities tend to have an unhealthy sense of entitlement, a lack of empathy, and a disregard for others’ feelings and well-being. They might manipulate, deceive, or control people around them for personal gain, often without remorse, leaving you exhausted and worse, traumatized and wasting your good life. Understanding why you attract these types of individuals is an important step in breaking the cycle. Further understanding a malignant personality’s inner workings, our own attachment styles and how to prioritize our well-being by countering these personalities through active behavior modification can help us become their worst nightmare, discouraging them from mistreating others as we all become more collectively informed on how to disarm them. In this workshop, feel free to be as vulnerable as you like. Participants are welcome to share their experiences but kindly be mindful of your speaking time, so everyone gets an equal chance to share what’s on their mind. This is also a safe space so if you don’t feel comfortable sharing anything publicly, you may reach out to Yves Gore privately during the workshop or after it in your own timing.
